Today, I am missing New York City.
To be honest, a large part is because of The Doughnut Plant.
I've never really been a big doughnut person. Kryss loves doughnuts, he'll sometimes make some of his own, but they were never my favorite kind of snacks. When we went to NYC, this was a stop at the top of his list and I didn't really think much of it.
We went there before we left the city and I can honestly say I am now a doughnut fan. I've been craving doughnuts like crazy since we left and I don't think my cravings will be filled unless we go back here. It's a small shop located on the lower East side of the city. They have so many options for doughnuts and I had a hard time deciding what I wanted.
In the end, Kryss got a PB&J doughnut and I got a Carrot Cake doughnut.
He wasn't very impressed with his. Don't get me wrong, it was delicious but it just felt like a PB&J sandwich.
Mine was so good. I was tempted to get another one. I'm not a fan of Carrot Cake but it looked really good and I had a craving for it. Thinking back to it, it makes me want another one so bad.
I highly recommend this place if you're in the city. I can't wait to go back and get another Carrot Cake doughnut.
The funny thing is we went around 4 PM and it was pretty calm. We only waited a moment in line but as soon as we sat down to eat, it got crazy busy. The place is small, so when it does get packed, it's crazy packed. People were basically standing in line over our table while we were eating.
