A few days ago, I texted Kryss after I remembered Chuck Palahniuk's book, Doomed came out in just a few days. I have been waiting since I read his previous book Damned a year ago. I soaked up every page in that book and instantly fell in love with it. I researched his book and saw he was making it into a trilogy, but I would have to wait a year to get the second book.
I completely forgot he was releasing Doomed in October, so when I saw it online for pre-order, I freaked. I was going to buy it on my Kindle but if I did that I'd have to wait a whole month after the book's release. LAME.
Much to my surprise, he pre-ordered the book for me. He tried keeping it from me, but his response to my text made him sound a bit odd. It was a reply in which you could tell they had something in mind, so yesterday when he said "I have to pick something up tomorrow, for you." I basically knew what it was. I tried getting mad at him for buying something else we really didn't need, but I was too excited to even be upset.
He's always thoughtful, always keeping me in mind when he does something and I can't appreciate that kind of thing enough. I'm lucky to have him, he supports my ridiculous book addictions and my camera crazy self.
Seriously.
Last night he got out of work and when he got in the room, I put on a huge smile and gave that cute voice, "Babyyyy.. I have to talk to youuuuu!"
I found a vintage camera on Craigslist for $10. He called the guy for me and brought me to pick it up. He did all the work of talking to the guy, something I hate doing.
So, today I'll spend it reading this book,
