I Am..

I am..

.. growing increasingly excited for this apartment. I have so much to do before we move and I feel like it'll never get done and that the day will never get here. We've got a little over two weeks before move-in day and time is going so slowly. I also don't think reality has really set in for either of us and I don't think it will until we start packing up the car on the day.

.. debating on quitting the Project 365. I planned it out as a self-portrait everyday, but it's a lot harder than I imagined it would be. I'm thinking of maybe switching it from portraits of myself to a photo of daily life. I think that way it'll be a little be easier to complete that way.

.. trying to find personal blogs. One that don't revolve around pregnancy, DIYs, fashion, etc. It's not my kind of blog and it's all just been done before. I want to read more personal blogs like Susannah Conway and Esmé Wang. Those ladies are my favorite right now because of how raw and honest they are.

.. dying for American Horror Story: Coven to finish. It's my least favorite season and I'm just ready to find out who the Supreme is. It's too back and forth this season, too many deaths that are brought back and I can't stand Jessica Lange this season. She's one of my favorites on that show but they destroyed her this season. Sarah Paulson is just killin' it this season for me, though.

.. hoping to get into couponing. I used to watch Extreme Couponing but that show has went downhill for me, none of it seems real anymore. I was at work today and bought a few items for our place and used some coupons. I bought some Pantene shampoo & conditioner for $0.16. I felt this crazy rush come over me and it made me want to do it even more. I'm not sure the policies around the stores where I live but I'm going to do more research. Hopefully that will diminish some stress I already am anticipating once we do move in and realize all of the bills we've got coming our way.

.. ready to write more. Not just for this blog but for myself as well. Yesterday I opened up a new document and started re-telling a few stories of my past and it was refreshing to do so. It's nice to have these little stories saved on my laptop for me to open up when I need a bit of inspiration or to remember a good or bad time in my life. I'm excited to write more and to experience some new ones for the future.

.. Re-discovering bands I haven't listened to since high school. I do this every few months and I always get this crazy wave of nostalgia that comes over me. It puts me back in that high school stage of my life and it's crazy to think about how I was back then versus the person I am today.

Watching: Honestly, not really anything. For awhile, I was obsessed with Big Brother, but this season was horrible. Besides that, I'll sometimes turn the TV on after work and watch something to pass the time. American Dad and Family Guy have been on my TV a lot lately.
Thinking about: Too much right now. I have so many ideas and passions in my head right now, I can't stop thinking about them. From developing my own film again to my designing business to saving up money for an apartment. I have never had these many goals in my head that I was to accomplish. It's been stressful, too.
Reading: I recently started Nikki Sixx's book, The Heroin Diaries. Though I'm not a fan of Motely Crue, I loved this guy since finding out he was an addict and even dated Kat Von D. I'm less than halfway through the book and I've been cringing the whole time reading about his lows. Such an inspiring guy. After this one, I've got his other book to read, too.
Celebrating: I recently celebrated Kryss' birthday with him. We didn't do much because we both worked all day, but that night we went to our favorite tea lounge to just sit and talk for awhile. It was really laid back and I really enjoyed it.
Making me happy: The thought of the future. I'm terrified of my future but knowing it's with someone else just turns into excitement. Also some amazing television coming back has me excited. The Vampire Diaries next month along with American Horror Story: Coven. Those AHS trailers have been beyond killer and creepy and I can't wait. I feel like this season is going to be their best. They've got the perfect cast and creep factor to make it a great one. I've also got a ton of DIY projects I want to tackle and I can't wait to share.
What about you been up to lately?

Watching: oh man, I've become such an addict to television. Netflix has gotten me into so many shows and recommendations from friends have just made that list grow even more. I'm currently on season two of Six Feet Under. It's an old show that ended years ago, but I saw Michael C. Hall was in it and knew it'd be good. I'm also watching The Vampire Diaries, Shameless (SO good!), Girls, The Walking Dead and Happy Endings. The list is so much longer but those are some of my favorites at the moment.

Thinking about:  a lot, honestly. I've recently started a new job and it's been taking a lot of my time. I've been studying a ton so I can pass the tests they give so we're certified and I'm trying to do a really good job. Since starting the job, I've had a much more positive outlook on things. I'm trying to kick some serious ass at work so they see my potential. I'm trying to break out of my shell and really put myself out there. I've also been thinking about my vacation that's happening in April. My sister and I are going to visit my sister and her family in North Carolina and we plan to stay on the beach. I haven't seen grass, trees or water in such a long time, I am long overdue for this. I can't wait to see my nieces, who seemed to have grown taller than me since I last saw them.

Reading: as much as I'd love to say I'm reading a ton of books, I'm not. I go through phases where I'm obsessed with reading. I download books on my Kindle and plow through them one after another. Lately, I haven't picked it up. I've got a ton of books on there that I need to start, just don't have the ambition. I'm always looking for more to add so hopefully it'll push me to start something. I'm hoping that once work is not as stressful and I am in a routine, I'll read again.

Celebrating: I really don't have anything to celebrate. I guess I'm just celebrating having a job again and getting out of the house for awhile. I'm such a different person than I was last year and I've grown so much, so I suppose that's a bit of a celebration?

Making me happy:  a lot. I'm trying to appreciate the little things in life and take note of the smallest of details that make me happy. I've been going through a rough patch since last year and I'm finally at a point in my life where I'm just happy about it again. I'm alive and I've got a job and am amazing sister and brother that continuously make me smile. I love those nights we spend together laughing and thinking about them later. I always make mental notes of those nights so I can look back on them later.  One thing that really has me down is my brother deploying in a few days. I'm just worried about my sister and how she'll deal with it. She's done this before, but it's always stressful when it happens.

Thank you, Danielle for the inspiration for this post! If you happen to do a 'Currently' post, I'd love to read it!
